Bern, Switzerland – Baritone Geon Kim has been awarded the prestigious First Prize at the 2025 Belvedere International Singing Competition, which concluded its final rounds in Bern on June 21, 2025. The highly anticipated competition, known for identifying emerging vocal talent, saw soprano Valentina Pravdina secure Second Prize, while mezzo-soprano Valeriia Gorbunova took Third Prize.

The week-long event, held from June 14-21, culminated in a series of intense final performances that showcased the exceptional abilities of the thirteen finalists. These rounds, hosted in the scenic Swiss capital, drew significant attention from the international opera community, including artistic directors, casting agents, and critics.
