The impressive haul, reported within a single week, includes multiple gold, silver, and bronze distinctions, highlighting the nation's strong performance in STEM fields.
In the International Physics Olympiad, held in Bucaramanga, Colombia, in July 2026, the Israeli delegation secured five medals. Ruth Kozlovsky distinguished herself by winning a gold medal. Following closely, Noam Fleissig, Ahaya Kellner, Eitan Rotman, and Elad Agmon each earned silver medals, contributing to a total of one gold and four silver medals for the team in this category.
The International Biology Olympiad, which took place in Vilnius, Lithuania, saw Israel's participants claim four medals. Olga Besova and Yehuda Lester both demonstrated exceptional talent, securing gold medals. Yarden Hoch and Saar Paperni were also recognized for their achievements, each bringing home a bronze medal, resulting in two gold and two bronze medals from the competition.
