Seven Bridges Middle School has been crowned the New York State Science Olympiad Champion, marking its second state title in three years and earning a coveted spot at the National Tournament. The significant victory for the Chappaqua-based school was complemented by a strong showing from Robert Bell Middle School, which finished 10th overall in the highly competitive state-wide event.
The triumphant Seven Bridges team showcased exceptional talent and dedication across various scientific disciplines, securing an impressive haul of 19 medals. Their medal count included four gold, three silver, and two bronze, highlighting their dominance in multiple events. Among the standout performances, Tejas Arjune, Arnav Bhandula, and Vincent Hong earned a first-place finish in the challenging Codebusters event. Alex Gu and Nolan Kim also contributed significantly to the team's success, taking first place in Remote Sensing.
Robert Bell Middle School demonstrated its scientific prowess by earning 10 medals, including one gold, contributing to their commendable 10th place overall finish in the state. Noteworthy individual achievements from Robert Bell included Helen Le Vine, Mia Long, and Sita Agastya, who secured a fifth-place finish in the Codebusters competition.
