St Andrew’s School Students Claim Provincial Mathematics Titles

St Andrew’s School has secured multiple top honors at a recent provincial mathematics competition, highlighted by the crowning of an overall provincial champion. The school's performance showcased significant individual talent across multiple grade levels during the competitive event.

Ethan Huang earned distinction as both the Grade 11 overall provincial winner and the overall provincial champion. Adding to the school's success, Riley Olivier secured the title of Grade 9 overall provincial winner, demonstrating the institution's strength in mathematics at various stages of secondary education.

The achievements at St Andrew’s follow a series of notable performances in regional and state-level mathematics competitions involving other students. In Wyoming, Bekalyn Swett of Green River Lincoln Middle School placed fourth in the Wyoming State MATHCOUNTS competition, which was hosted in Laramie.

In Pennsylvania, the Mountain View Middle School MATHCOUNTS team achieved a second-place overall finish at the Harrisburg Regional MATHCOUNTS competition. During that same event, Matthias Lu earned fourth place in the individual category, successfully qualifying for the next stage of the competition.

These results underscore a period of high achievement for students participating in specialized mathematics competitions across different regions, from provincial championships to state-wide and regional MATHCOUNTS events.
