Applebee's Announces Eight New Jersey Teacher of the Year Winners for 2026

Applebee's has officially announced the eight New Jersey educators crowned as the 2026 Teacher of the Year winners through its 10th annual Above and “Bee” yond Teacher Essay Contest. These deserving teachers, selected from 13 counties across the state, will receive vital classroom support and student celebrations for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year.

The competition invited students to submit 500-word essays nominating their favorite educators, highlighting the profound impact teachers have on their lives. Following a submission deadline of March 15, 2026, the winners were announced in 2026, recognizing their exceptional dedication and influence within their school communities.

Among the distinguished recipients is Diana Adanatzian, a 4th-grade teacher at McKinley Ave Elementary School in Manahawkin. Each of the eight winning teachers will be awarded a $500 scholarship check, specifically designated for classroom use, enabling them to enhance learning environments and provide additional resources for their students. Furthermore, the award package includes special end-of-year celebrations, acknowledging both the teachers' achievements and the students who nominated them.

This initiative, now in its tenth year, underscores Applebee's commitment to supporting education and recognizing the invaluable contributions of New Jersey's teaching professionals. The program aims to provide tangible assistance directly to classrooms, ensuring educators have the resources they need to foster engaging and effective learning experiences.
