Team Pheonix, representing India’s Securities and Exchange Board of India, has emerged as the winner of the inaugural C:>DIR Global Agentic Regulator Hackathon. The team secured first place in the global competition, distinguishing themselves among a highly competitive field of international builders.
The hackathon, which concluded on October 1, 2026, was a large-scale event that attracted participants and teams from more than 65 different countries. As one of six global finalists, Team Pheonix competed for a share of a total $100,000 prize pool.
The competition showcased diverse technological approaches to regulatory challenges. Alongside Team Pheonix, the other finalists included YU-SAM POWER, the Rwanda Anti-Scam Team, Team Axiom, Agent Reliability Profile, and Probe. The presence of teams from such a wide geographical range underscores the global scale and technical ambition of the event.
By claiming the top position in this inaugural event, Team Pheonix has established a significant milestone in the field of agentic regulation, representing the technical capabilities of the Securities and Exchange Board of India on a global stage.
